Unleash your creativity and bring your own puppet to life from scratch in a hands-on, one-day marionette making experience with Ahmed Hisham!

This workshop offers a hands-on, exploratory opportunity for anyone looking to enter the world of performing arts and puppet making from scratch. Throughout the day, participants will go through an immersive experience learning the fundamentals of constructing a moving wooden marionette puppet, starting from shaping and assembling body parts to attaching strings and controlling their fluid movement on stage. Built around a practical, hands-on approach, each participant will craft their own puppet with direct guidance from artist Ahmed Hisham. All required materials and tools are provided, and no prior knowledge or skills in carving or fabrication are required—making this an open and inclusive space to experiment with new ideas, gain an enjoyable artistic skill, and walk away at the end of the day with a living wooden character of their own creation.
