* open source is difficult to really do in the 2 weeks of the camps - so Deca would give an opportunity to really develop this work
* zilzal - ppl displaced to the area - so did not really have social structures - big issue of trust
* selma who is now in canada did a3dat binat - discussions with teenage girls
* Fathat kheir - they used to do 3 week camps in the summer - charged them 3LE - kids built up for a long time saving up
* if things are free they are driven by you as the workers more
* don't offer a meal to lure ppl in
* did work with street girls at orphanage - was run by qariat amal - a corrupt ngo
* godran in alex - (sameh) did mural work
* using cheap and few materials, ppl bring things, old socks, leaves etc
* deca as a rehearsal space etc - it may be too far out for ppl
* research self-sustainability - and do it from the beginning
* training kids to train etc is really important - keep an eye on the ones with potential
