The key activity and the reason behind our inception of ADEF in 2009 is the Arab Digital Expression Camps - ADEC that sits in the heart of foundation. ADEF is looking for a professional and committed network administrator and technical support for ADEC and Youth Media Activists Camp - YMAC.

Tasks and responsibilities:
*Assessing the camp’s location, the technical requirements to deploy a proper infrastructure and estimating the relevant budget for equipment purchase. Making sure to utilise his/her skills to use every existing piece of equipment in our inventory before resorting to purchasing.
* Designing and setting up the camp technical infrastructure including internet connectivity provisioning. Attaching all camp's facilities to a unified network. Providing WiFi coverage in needed spaces of camp location.
*Architecting, building and deploying the necessary Linux Operating System image while including all vital Open Source applications and packages based on curriculum, trainers and team members requirements.
*Supervising the packing, loading and transportation of the technical inventory.
*Maintaining labs and other technical aspects of the camp in a stable working condition.
*Maintaining the camp’s technical inventory. Keeping the various distributed equipment in check (what is where and/or with whom?).
*Providing round-the-hour technical support for the camp’s team members.
*Ability to engage with other trainers (video, sound, makers) in solving their technical problems, spotting bugs, following up process for smooth operation of labs during sessions.
After the camp:
*Reviewing the technical inventory. Making sure the equipment is intact.
*Supervising the packing, loading and transportation of the technical inventory.
*Providing a detailed report of the post-camp technical inventory. Reporting any messing/damaged/partially damaged piece of equipment.
*Reporting to the management with suggestions and recommendations to improve the technical process of the camp.
