تحضير ما قبل الجلسة

make sure that mixxx is downloaded on all the computers with music and loops on all of them

الخطوات التفصيلية للجلسة

play the metronome game using a drum, united movement on metronome like stomping -- 5 minutes --

play the same metronome game but on music while drumming with the beat so they would see the connection -- 5 minutes --

synchronize game: they start moving randomly, and when i say the word synchronize they are supposed to synchronize to the movement of a certain person that i call out. -- 5 minutes -- (this game is made only so they would know what the word synchronize means and get used to what it does in general so they would know when to use it)

mixing on decks: we go on to the controllers we have, we try to remember the mixer that we took in the first session and see the common things because a DJ basically has a mixer and a music player. So we get ourselves familiar with the equipment, explaining the basic things (BPM, faders, tempo change, cue). Then we start putting music and trying to mix them together, but since we are going to use the synchronize button, this makes everything much easier because the computer is able to automatically synchronize tracks together.

open mixxx and record: each participant turns on the DJing software that is on the computers, and we compare things to the controller that we were using and then I show them how to record and each one records, 2 - 3 mixes in the last 10 minutes -- 40 minutes --
